workflow management made by manz
The Manz Workflow Manager is the process control system for your laboratory. It is used to control your laboratory workflow between
a) the superordinate data-management system (ERP, LIMS) and
b) your laboratory equipment and chromatography data systems.
The Workflow Manager is also compatible with your electronic lab journal, which is used to store and access data from your experiments.
Manz’s Workflow Manager simplifies daily laboratory and manufacturing tasks through its user-friendly operation, making the lab’s workflow clear. It combines all of the lab’s machines and instruments into an organized team, and ensures that data flow between them all smoothly in accordance with the methods and workflows you define.
The heart of the Workflow Manager is the graphic Workflow Editor, which you can use to define any number of workflows. While doing so, you have access to the entire range of functions and repertoire of methods relating to your lab equipment, analysis instruments, and robotic systems.
With the Workflow Editor, you can define conditional branches, pause and abort criteria, and simultaneous processes. In this way, you can either react to a wide variety of results automatically or manually include intermediate steps.
During routine operations, the Workflow Manager, with its simple user interfaces, guides you intuitively through manual operating steps and provides you with an overview of the location and status of each individual probe at any time upon request.
The fully integrated Station Monitor allows you to follow your probes seamlessly based on their position within the workflow or their identifier (bar code). Information such as probe contents, stability, process times, and temperatures are just some of the characteristics that are constantly updated. Using Web services, this information can also be made available to users within internal networks.
Continuous tracking of the probes and processes in a high-performance database provides the security that all information is saved in a dynamic and up-to-date way, and that the data is kept ready for immediate export.
The Workflow Manager supports the implementation of workflows in laboratories with manually operated instruments – such as in quality control labs – as well as controlling complex robotic systems with an automated system to transport probes.
